HOW IS A 3D Showcase Open House DIFFERENT FROM A TRADITIONAL 360 or PANORAMic scan?
In a 360 or panoramic scan, a gallery of photos is “stitched” together and navigated via a clunky control scheme. Although the techniques vary, most traditional tours do not allow the viewer to actually move around within the space. At the very most, traditional tours offer 10 or so vantage points. With a Mattterport Scan, you are submerged in the space and can walk practically step-by-step throughout its entirety.
A 3D Showcase allows the viewer to explore the space seamlessly. We use a specialized 3D camera system consisting of lenses and spatial scanning sensors that, in addition to capturing the space in high resolution, scans and generates a polygonal mesh. This mesh is used to create a dynamic, 3D model that can be explored online and in a virtual reality headset.
Our showcase provides the ability to navigate intuitively via numerous vantage points: first person, birds eye (floor plan) and isometric (doll house). You can even highlight certain “clickable” features with Matter Tags. Our software is also supported by Zillow and Facebook, so you can easily place your 3D Showcase in your MLS listing or on your Facebook page.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO TYPICALLY SCAN A SPACE?
It typically takes 60 minutes for every 1,000 square feet. Each individual scan takes about 1 minute. For projects larger than 25,000 square feet, scans may take several days to complete.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO to prepare for my SCAN?
The space must be staged to your customization in a condition suitable for scanning before the scheduled appointment. If cleaning services are needed, please schedule them before the scan.

WILL THE WEATHER AFFECT MY SCAN'S QUALITY?
The 3D Showcase camera system incorporates HighDynamicRange Imaging (HDR) sensors which allow the camera to adjust to changes in light. This means that both light and dark areas can be captured at the same time. The only issues encountered with this system are direct overhead sunlight. These tours ultimately turn out best when scheduled on a cloudy day, or in the morning or evening hours. As long as there is sufficient interior lighting, the finished project will look as good as a model created on a sunny day.

Which wEB BROWSERS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH VIEWING 3D Showcase tours?
The 24/7 Open House uses “WebGL”, the modern standard for handling 3D content viewed on the web. On desktop computers, WebGL is supported by all of the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple’s Safari, and Microsoft’s Internet Explorer.

DO I NEED TO BE PRESENT FOR THE ENTIRE SCAN?
You are not required to be on site while we scan the property. The scanning process can be time consuming and most real estate professionals prefer to provide a lock-box code or unlock the property themselves. During the scan, rooms must be empty (or appear so) in order to align properly and avoid inconsistencies. Even the camera operator has to "hide" from the camera for each scan. You are welcome to stay on site during the entirety of the scan, but you will be guided by the camera operator regarding where you can be so as not to appear in the tour.
What is a Rich Media Matter Tag?
A Rich Media Matter Tag is a drop pin description that highlights key features and labels rooms. It can include text, images or video descriptions embedded in your 3D Showcase Tour.
HOW DO I PAY MY BILL?
All About You Media accepts checks as its only form of payment. A deposit is required to save the date of your scan (rescheduling options available on a case-by-case-basis). Payment is due upon service of the scan.
HOW LONG IS MY 3D Showcase TOUR HOSTED ONLINE?
3D Showcases require an enormous amount of data and bandwidth, which is why they are stored in the cloud on special high speed servers. The first 3 months of hosting are free, and to continue hosting there is a $149.99/model annual fee. You are free to cancel hosting at any time.

When will my tour be ready to view?
Still Photography | 24-48 Hours | We electronically deliver both MLS formatted and full-resolution photos via Google Drive or Dropbox.
3D Virtual Tours | 24-36 Hours | We email you the links to the Showcase Webpage as soon as the Virtual Tour is post-processed. We also include links to the Workshop which will allow you to take measurements. We also send you a special iFrame code which will allow you to embed your Virtual Tour directly into your website.

HOW DO I CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT? WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
We understand that sometimes schedule changes are unavoidable. If you need to cancel or reschedule your scan, please do so within 72 hours of your scan to avoid additional fees.
